The National Geographic Slingshot Video Challenge

What is the Slingshot Video Challenge?

Mountain SOL has teamed up with National Geographic to assist West Virginia teenagers in crafting 1-minute long videos about their solution to:

Clean the Air
Restore the Ocean

Protect Nature

Reduce Waste

Address Climate Change

“We believe that no problem is unsolvable and that great ideas come from ALL places. Our community of 13–18 year olds can rise to the challenge and submit a 1-minute video describing their idea for solving environmental issues. And we believe that, together, our ideas can lead to taking action to protect our planet and improve our future. Submit your video by February 1, 2024 for the chance to receive up to $10,000 in funding.”

All participants are also enrolled in our Mountain SOL film festival and giveaway on April 19th at Chestnut Ridge Park!

You can find out more information about the competition HERE.

We are happy to meet with you, zoom with you, or help you in any way that you need!
